Dave Allison – no to the Bucs

Former Iowa Star head coach Dave Allison was set to take the reigns of the Des Moines Buccaneers but has decided against the move and instead will take a scouting position with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Bucs open up the season with an exhibition game on the road September 24th,.


Chops suspended for 2009-2010

The Iowa Chops were sent to the penalty box today for the 2009-2010 season. The AHL Board of Governors “involuntary suspened” the Iowa Chops franchise because they have been unable fix violations of the league’s Constitution and By-Laws.
