Drake vs. UNI – Noon on FSMW

If that was Josh Young’s last win in a Drake uniform, it was a perfect ending.

The smooth shooting kid from Lawton, Oklahoma has been a class act since he stepped on the hardwood at Drake. Last night’s fall away jumper with 1.5 seconds left that gave Drake a 63-61 win over Southern Illinois might be the perfect final chapter to an outstanding career.

Drake faces UNI today at Noon and they are going to need to clean up a bunch of things to have a chance. The Bulldogs grabbed one, yes only one offensive rebound last night. They were out rebounded for the game 40-26. I would also venture to guess UNI won’t allow the Bulldogs to shoot 60% from the field and 46% from the 3pt range in the second half today.

Craig Stanley needs to pick up where he left off last night. It seems Stanley figured out he only has a few minutes left on the court and he needs to leave everything he has on the floor. Stanley played inspired basketball last night, he needs to do that again today at Noon.

Today’s game is on Fox Sports Midwest – Channel 671 on DirecTv and 418 on Dish Network.
